Marc Muniesa, the 17-year-old defender who spent just a short time on the pitch against Osasuna before being given his marching orders, has spoken about his hectic debut for Barcelona.
It was quite an occasion to make a debut, given the title celebrations that took place before and after the match. The Catalans - who fielded an understrength XI - lost the game but Muniesa enjoyed his bow nonetheless.
Speaking to the press afterwards, he said, "It was a great experience, they told me the other day I would be in the squad, and my team-mates received me very well.
"When they told me to go warm up, I had goosebumps."
Muniesa then spoke of the unfortunate incident that resulted in his dismissal.
"The referee sent me off because he thought I was the last man, I don't know if I was or not," he said.
"My team-mates supported me, and in the dressing room they told me that I had generated a standing ovation."
Finally, Muniesa thanked the fans their support on a night that he is unlikely to ever forget.
