Barcelona Defender Dani Alves Ruled Out For Rest Of Season

The Brazilian will not play again for Barcelona this season...
Dani Alves has been ruled out for the rest of the season this afternoon after injuring his foot in training with Barcelona.

The Brazilian is reported to have suffered the problem yesterday but it has has only been confirmed by the club today that he will be out for three weeks.

Fortunately for Pep Guardiola, he has already been preparing to play without Alves for the Champions League final due to suspension.

The right-back has been one of the star players for Barcelona this season and has played in a total of 52 games for the Catalans, scoring five goals in the process.

The injury is the second that the defender has suffered this season, having been out for two weeks in August with shoulder trouble.

He will now miss the match against Osasuna at the Camp Nou and also the game on the final day of the season against Deportivo La Coruna.

In his debut season with Barcelona, he has already won both La Primera and the Copa del Rey and should they win the Champions League, they will be the first Spanish side to win the treble.
