Atletico Madrid's president believes that Diego Forlan will stay at the club despite rumours persisting that he could join Liverpool in the summer.
Enrique Cerezo has denied that there is any truth in reports suggesting that his club are prepared to let the Uruguayan go and predicted that he will stay next term.
Los Colchoneros' chief thinks that players only tend to want to move if they are unhappy with something at the club and he can see nothing that would upset Forlan.
"I think that Forlan will stay with Atletico next season. The players play where they want to play," Cerezo is quoted by Marca as saying.
"We have no problems and he is happy here."
Atletico face Valencia in what is set to be a fourth place play-off on Sunday and Cerezo is confident that they can win and go on to clinch a place among Europe's big boys.
"I am also convinced that we will be in the Champions League. We should not fear anyone and the players are keen to achieve that," he added.
