Greek minnows Kavala have secured the services of former Brazil star Denilson on a free transfer, according to a number of reports from Greece. The tricky attacker has reportedly inked an 18-month deal at his new club.
The Greek Super League outfit recently appointed Dutch coach Aad de Mos as their new head coach and the former Vitesse boss was eager to add another attacker to his squad before the end of the transfer window.
Denilson was previously linked with a move to the Australian A-League, but the 32-year-old eventually opted to sign for Kavala. The former Real Betis attacker was once the most expensive footballer in the world, but never really managed to live up to the sky-high expectations.
Kavala returned to Greece's top tier last summer and are full of ambition. They have several big names in their current squad with players such as Zeljko Kalac, Craig Moore and Ebi Smolarek.
