Pinto: 5 - Never looked comfortable when coming to claim the ball or when dealing with shots, although he nearly got to Negredo's penalty.
Alves: 6.5 - With Maxwell on the other flank he was able to get forward more often, and his crossing and range of passing was excellent. Needed to prevent Perotti from passing him for the first goal however.
Chygrynskiy: 5 - Gave away the penalty for a foul on Capel. He was comfortable on the ball to the point of being careless in defence and passed up a few chances from set pieces.
Milito: 6 - Looked understandably rusty but coped fairly well with the threats that Sevilla posed until he was withdrawn in the 68th minute.
Maxwell: 5.5 - He will be disappointed with the number of times he allowed Capel to run at him, and failed to deal with the cross in the build up to the first goal.
Iniesta: 6 - Looked lively in the first half, trying to create something, and showed some sublime touches on the ball. Didn't have as much impact on the game in the second half.
Marquez: 6 - Sat back to cover the defence before he slotted into the heart of the back four when Milito was substituted, but is clearly short of match practice. Set up Ibrahimovic's goal well.
Thiago: 6 - Playing the role of Xavi was always going to be tough, but he kept the midfield ticking and spread possession until the master replaced him in the 71st minute.
Messi: 6.5 - It seemed like it would be another Messi show early on, testing Palop with a great shot after he skinned Dragutinovic and Navarro, but it wasn't to be his night.
Bojan: 6 - He looked like he had a point to prove to Guardiola and was unlucky to see his goal ruled out with 20 minutes to go.
Pedro: 5.5 - Much is expected of the youngster, but he had a fairly quiet night before being taken off at half-time.
Ibrahimovic: 6.5 - Spent much of his time appealing for penalties or free kicks, and needlessly fouled Konko as Bojan volleyed home. Finished well for his goal and could have had another if his 82nd minute header had been better.
Busquets: 6.5 - Has matured a lot over the past few months and demonstrated his excellent vision on a number of occasions this evening.
Xavi: 6 - Came on with 20 minutes to go but didn't really have the time to affect the game.
Palop: 5.5 - Made an excellent save from Messi but undid some good work by inexplicably rushing out of his goal and could only watch as Ibrahimovic rounded him for the equaliser.
Konko: 7 - He coped with Pedro with ease and got forward well on the overlap. Played a superb through ball for Renato just after half-time that his team-mate should have done better with.
Escude: 6.5 - Marshalled his troops from the back and looked to keep a tight line in defence. Picked up a yellow card for a foul on Marquez just before half-time.
Dragutinovic: 6 - Defensively sound, although he was troubled on a number of occasions when Messi cut inside from the right flank.
Navarro: 5.5 - He was really struggling to cope with Messi and conceded a lot of fouls that put pressure on his team.
Romaric: 7.5 - Had a very good game in the middle of the park, always looking to dictate the tempo of the game and supply the likes of Perotti and Capel with possession.
Lolo: 6.5 - Solid game in the midfield. Didn't get forward as much as Romaric, but was always looking to break up Barcelona's attacking moves.
Navas: 6 - Not playing in his orthodox position, he was still fairly bright until he picked up an injury just before half-time that forced him out of proceedings.
Capel: 8 - Ghosted in at the far post to put his team ahead before driving into the penalty area to win the decisive spot kick in the 75th minute. An excellent game.
Perotti: 7 - Lively on the left hand side throughout, he supplied the cross that led to the first goal. Given a lot of space in which to work due to Dani Alves' predilection for bombing forward out of defence.
Kone: 5.5 - Worked hard up front but was failing to stay onside and completely missed the ball when he had his best opportunity of the game in the 34th minute.
Renato: 6 - Should have scored shortly after coming on, but was involved in the build up to the first goal minutes later.
Negredo: 6 - Relatively quiet game but scored the crucial second goal with a perfect penalty.
Duscher: N/A - Not enough time to make an impression after coming on with 10 minutes to go.
