RUMOURS: Rodgers set for Swansea return

Brendan Rodgers will take charge of Swansea City for the start of the 2016-17 Premier League season, according to the Daily Express.

The Northern Irishman led the Swans to promotion from the Championship in 2011 before joining Liverpool a year later, guiding them to a second-place finish in the 2013-14 campaign.

Rodgers' three-year stint with the Reds came to an end in October following a poor run of results and he has since taken a break away from football.

Francesco Guidolin is currently in temporary charge of Swansea after Garry Monk was relieved of his duties at the start of December but the club reportedly want Rodgers as their next permanent manager.
