Former Tottenham star Kranjcar joins New York Cosmos

The 31-year-old joins the NASL champions on a free transfer having left Dynamo Kyiv on a free transfer in January
Former Tottenham and Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar has joined New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League (NASL).

The 31-year-old, who spent last season on loan at QPR, has been without a club since leaving Dynamo Kyiv on a free transfer in January.

“I’ve enjoyed my time training with the Cosmos, working with these players and coaches has been a great experience,” said Kranjcar.

“I think the style of play here suits me well, I and I’m excited to officially represent the club on the field this season.”

Kranjcar, who won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008, has been capped 81 times by Croatia.
