Eto'o to join Antalyaspor

The Cameroonian still had two years to run on his contract with Sampdoria but is now bound for Turkey

Sampdoria striker Samuel Eto'o has agreed to join newly-promoted Super Lig outfit Antalyaspor.

The Cameroonian only arrived in Genoa during the January transfer window, penning a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Serie A side.

However, on Wednesday, Antalyaspor posted a photo on their official Facebook page showing Eto'o about to board a private jet with club officials.

"A deal has been agreed in principle with the footballer Samuel Eto'o," the accompanying text read.

"Club president Gultekin Gencer and the board of directors today travelled from Milan to Turkey and will arrive at the Ataturk airport at 18:30CET."

Eto'o is a three-time Champions League winner, having lifted the trophy twice during his prolific five-year spell with Barcelona and once at Inter.

The 34-year-old forward, who was capped 118 times by Cameroon, scored two goals in 18 league appearances for Samp last season.
