Olympique de Marseille would be an attractive alternative to Tottenham for Internacional striker Leandro Damiao, according to his agent.
Spurs have reopened talks with the player's representatives regarding a summer move but Vinicius Prates insists Damiao will consider his options.
The Brazil forward has long been admired by the hierarchy at White Hart Lane but Marseille are also said to be interested in his signature as rivals Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco continue to bolster their squads
"I have not been contacted by Olympique de Marseille," Prates told Sambafoot. "The leaders of this team have not made me an offer for my client. In any case, Marseille are a great club with a great history and France is a country where life is good.
"Moreover, the championship of France has become competitive with big clubs like Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco.
"Marseille could be an interesting club for Leandro Damiao - especially since there is nothing completed with Tottenham."
Last month, however, Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo admitted that although they had been monitoring the 23-year-old, his asking price was beyond their budget.
"We know him very, very well," Anigo told L'Equipe. "But the economics cannot be ignored. We are following him but for now he is too expensive."
