Mbia wrote on his official Twitter account: "IT'S OFFICIAL WELCOME REMY !!! #QPR."

Rs midfielder Joey Barton, who is currently on loan at Marseille, had revealed the news through the social networking site on Monday evening - backtracking on his original assertion that the 26-year-old was heading to St James' Park.

Remy has scored just twice in 12 appearances so far this term, but was decidedly more prolific last season, netting 20 goals in total.
