Napoli reportedly keeping tabs on Rolando

The Partenopei are keen to bolster their back line in the summer and have identified the Portugal international as one of their top priorities
Napoli are pondering a summer switch for Porto defender Rolando, according to reports emanating from Italy.

Mediaset
claims that the Serie A side are already planning for next season, with the acquisition of a new centre-back understood to be high on the wishlist of coach Walter Mazzarri.

Rolando was strongly linked with a move to Juventus last summer, but a move failed to materialise as Porto held firm over their €30 million valuation of the defender.

However, the Portugal international has struggled at times in 2011-12, which could open the door to an exit at the end of the season for a figure in the region of €9m.

Davide Astori is also understood on Napoli's radar, but the 25-year-old is valued at €15m by Cagliari.
