Barcelona offer Keirrison to Coritiba - report

The Brazilian striker has failed to impress since moving to Europe in 2009, and a new loan spell appears to be the likeliest solution to his situation
Barcelona have offered the services of misfit striker Keirrison to Coritiba, El Confidencial reports.

The 23-year-old forward signed for Barca in 2009 in a deal worth €14 million after impressing at Coritiba and Palmeiras, but he has yet to make a single appearance for the Catalan club.

After unsuccessful loan spells at Benfica, Fiorentina, Santos and Cruzeiro, Keirrison is currently assessing his options as he recovers from a knee injury which will keep him on the sidelines until July.

It is understood that Barca have offered Coritiba the chance to re-sign the striker on a two-year loan deal.

Keirrison's brother, Kimarrison, who works closely with the striker's agent, has confirmed to Globoesporte that Coritiba hold an interest in the player, but noted that an agreement has not yet been reached.
