Twente have completed the signing of Dutch striker Glynor Plet from Heracles, who put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
Steve McClaren turned to the Plet following the departure of Marc Janko to Porto as the 25-year-old moved to the Polman Stadion club in 2010 after a successful spell at Telstar, and has scored 10 goals in his 19 Eredivisie games this season.
Plet will be in direct competition for a starting spot in McClaren's team with Luuk de Jong.
"He's a late bloomer who is currently developing very rapidly," McClaren told TC/Tubantia of his new signing.
Plet is Twente's second signing of the January transfer window, after the club secured Wesley Verhoek's signature from Den Haab.
