Zurich's Ricardo Rodriguez poised to sign for Wolfsburg

The promising defender has committed his future to the Bundesliga side and his transfer to the Volkswagen Arena is only pending a medical
Zurich have announced on their official website that Ricardo Rodriguez is on the verge of completing a move to Wolfsburg.

The Switzerland international has flown to Dubai, where Wolfsburg are having a mid-season training camp, to undergo a medical with the Bundesliga outfit.

Rodriguez will sign a four-and-a-half year contract with Wolfsburg, with the transfer fee estimated at €6 million.

The 19-year-old, who broke into Zurich's senior ranks in 2009, will become the latest player to move to the Volkswagen Arena outfit, who have already signed five players in January.

Felix Magath's side sit 12th in the Bundesliga standings, with 20 points from 17 matches, and will take on Koln on January 21, one day after the tournament resumes.
