Contract: 30 months
Samsunspor have completed the transfer of Theofanis Gekas, who joins from 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee believed to be in the region of €500,000.
The experienced Greece international has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal at the Turkish club, who are currently in the relegation zone of the Super Lig.
Samsunspor president Kazim Gurol Yilmaz was delighted with his new addition, telling NTV Spor: "We will continue to work hard to bring players in to ultimately help our side win games. I am sure this transfer will strengthen our team."
Gekas spent 18 months at Eintracht and despite scoring 16 Bundesliga goals in 34 appearances last campaign, the side were relegated to Germany's second-tier.
The striker has also made 55 appearances for the Greece national team, scoring 21 goals in the process.
