Neither club have so far commented on the fee involved in the deal, but reports in Portugal suggest that the Bundesliga side have spent €4 million to land the 25-year-old midfielder.
Vieirinha has been an ever-present figure at PAOK since his arrival in 2008, with his performances catching the attention of Portugal head coach Paulo Bento, who included the winger in the squad for the Euro 2012 play-offs against Bosnia and Herzegovina in November.
"Everything has been taken care of," Vierinha's agent, Vasilios Tsiartas, told Maisfutebol. "I am with Vieirinha in Germany and he has signed for three-and-a-half years.
"He is very happy with this opportunity. He will play in a big league, at a big club who have decided to bet on him.
"In Portugal, they did not trust Vierinha's qualities. PAOK gave him a chance and he proved he has everything to be an excellent player.
"He will show this, even in the Bundesliga."
Wolfsburg currently sit 12th in the league standings, with 20 points from 17 matches, and will take on FC Koln in their next match, scheduled for January 21.
