Wolfsburg's Simon Kjaer joins Roma on loan - report

The Denmark defender has reportedly signed on the dotted line and a transfer appears ready to be formally announced on Wednesday
Roma have completed the signing of Wolfsburg centre-back Simon Kjaer on a season-long loan deal, according to Sky Sport 24.

The Serie A outfit have reportedly shelled out €3 million to sign the 22-year-old on a temporary basis, with a €7m option to purchase at the end of the season included in the deal.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kjaer was quoted as saying he was hoping to complete a move to Roma quickly after growing frustrated at last-minute delays to the transfer.

The Denmark international joined Wolfsburg from Palermo in 2010 for an undisclosed fee, but he has not been able to impress at the Bundesliga outfit and is hoping to kick-start his career in Italy.
