Official: Barcelona loan out Keirrison to Cruzeiro until the end of 2011

The young attacker has accepted a fourth loan spell in a bid to gain more experience and earn a place at Camp Nou in the future
Fee: Loan Transfer
Contract: Dec 2011

Barcelona have confirmed on their official website they have loaned out striker Keirrison to Cruzeiro.

The Brazilian forward will join Cruzeiro until the end of the year, with reports suggesting the club will subsidise a portion of the player's salary.

The 22-year-old signed for Barcelona in the summer of 2009 for €14 million but has not made a single appearance for the Catalans.

Keirrison had loan spells at Benfica, Fiorentina and Santos but always
fell short of his billing as the future option for the attack of the Brazil national team, which he earned while at Coritiba and Palmeiras.

It had been suggested that Keirrison could spend the season with Barcelona's B squad, but he has instead opted for a more competitive option at Cruzeiro, who sit 11th in the league.
