South Africa international Tsepo Masilela has joined Getafe on a one-year loan deal, with the Primera Liga outfit having the option to make the deal permanent during the season.
The left-back joins the Madrid-based club from Maccabi Haifa and is expected to be unveiled by his new club in the coming days.
Masilela, who saw a move to English Championship club Leicester City break down last month, is a regular on the international scene, appearing in all three of South Africa's World Cup games last summer.
The 26-year-old, who spent four years in Israel and earned Champions League experience in the process, becomes the Spanish club's 10th summer signing.
Getafe have also confirmed that Daniel Guiza has successfully passed a medical at the club, joining on a free transfer from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The 31-year-old striker had his contract in Turkey rescinded after making only four appearances in an injury-plagued 2010-11 season, and will now represent the club he played for between 2005 and 2007.
Both players would have been in line for their debuts against Racing Santander on Sunday but all games have been called off due to the players' strike.
