Inter president Massimo Moratti has stated that the club are still assessing Anzhi Makhachkala's mega offer for Samuel Eto'o.
Goal.com revealed on Tuesday how talks between the clubs were underway - events that were later confirmed by Inter's Marco Branca and Eto'o's agent Claudio Vigorelli.
Some reports on Wednesday spoke of a done deal, but Moratti denied the claims.
"The deal has not been concluded. A proposal has been made and that's it," Moratti told La Repubblica.
"Now we will see what needs to be done [to take the move further]."
Goal.com understands Eto'o, 30, has been offered a four-year deal worth up to €20 million per annum.
The Russian outfit are offering Inter a €35m transfer fee.
