Report: Barcelona's Keirrison to train with B squad

The out-of-favor striker has found no room in the club's main squad and will look to convince coach Pep Guardiola of his worth with a season in the reserves
Barcelona striker Keirrison will train with the club's B squad until he can find another club, according to a report in Sport.

It is believed that Keirrison is interested in the chance to prove himself in the Spanish champions' second string, who have been deprived of a striker following a knee injury to Jonathan Soriano, after a series of set-backs to his own career.

The Brazilian forward signed for the Catalans from Palmeiras two years ago in a 14 million Euros switch, but he has failed to earn an opportunity at the Catalan club.

Keirrison was loaned out to Benfica and Fiorentina before joining Santos on a temporary switch in the summer of 2010, but the Brazilian outfit decided to cut short his stay last month to let him find another club.

With the transfer window in Brazil already closed, it appears that Keirrison will not secure a transfer before the end of August, and the possibility of the striker playing with Barcelona's B squad has now emerged as a solution.
