Roma defender Nicolas Burdisso has said there are no regrets at the club following the departures of Mirko Vucinic to Juventus and Jeremy Menez to Paris Saint-Germain.
The sale of the two players will net the Italian club over €20 million in revenue, but the loss on the pitch is not being seen as costly by Burdisso.
He believes Roma can still enjoy a good season on the back of new arrivals such as Bojan Krkic from Barcelona.
"Of course these are very important departures, but now is not the time to regret things. These choices must be respected," Burdisso told the Corriere dello Sport.
"Maybe they were not able to express themselves, but I want to wish them the best of luck.
"Good players have left the club, but the new ones have a will to display their quality.
"It will be a great year and we have plenty to look forward to."
Roma take on Hungarian side Vasas in a friendly match in Budapest on Wednesday.
