Juan Manuel Vargas not interested in leaving Fiorentina

Peru international claims he has no intention of leaving Sinisa Mihajlovic's side during the transfer window after being linked with a number of European teams
Fiorentina winger Juan Manuel Vargas insists he will be staying with the Italian side once he returns from the Copa America with Peru.

Vargas, 27, has been recently linked with Wolfsburg, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Zenit St Petersburg.

But the wing-back feels there is no need to leave the Artemio Franchi this summer.

"Ever since I joined Fiorentina, I have always had a great relationship with the club and the fans," Vargas told La Repubblica.

"The Della Valle family [club owners] have always expressed their faith in me.

"These are reasons as to why I have no intention of swapping the Viola jersey for next season."

Vargas joined Fiorentina in 2008 from Catania in a €12 million deal and his contract in Tuscany expires in 2013.
