Napoli have confirmed the arrival of Miguel Britos from Bologna as he becomes the second player in two days to join the San Paolo outfit.
Speaking to the club's official website, the 25-year-old defender said: "I am very happy to be at Napoli. I am happy to join such a great team and I can make the step up in quality here."
Britos arrived in Naples late on Monday night after both clubs had reached an agreement over his transfer, but no financial details have been disclosed.
Previous reports suggested Napoli would pay Bologna in the region of €10 million for the defender, but this has not been confirmed officially.
A statement on Bologna's website revealed the "definitive sale of Britos to Napoli" on Tuesday afternoon.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was delighted with the arrival of Britos following the acquisition of Gokhan Inler from Udinese on Monday.
"Britos smiles like [Ezequiel] Lavezzi, he seems more like an Argentine than a Uruguayan," said De Laurentiis.
"Our objective is to carry on working hard so we can take Napoli to being among the top European teams."
The player has reportedly signed a five-year deal with the club.
