Kaiserslautern have officially completed the signing of Kostas Fortounis from Greek side Asteras Tripolis, according to the German club's official website.
The former Olympiakos starlet has put pen to paper on a four-year contract that will expire in June of 2015.
"Kostas Fortounis is a very talented attacking player with great potential, and we hope to bring him along further. We're confident that he will reach the next stage in his development as a player working under head coach Marco Kurz," Kaiserslautern CEO Stefan Kuntz said, according to Bundesliga.de.
"On top of that, we're delighted that he was fully committed to joining FCK, despite the interest of other Bundesliga clubs."
The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest attacking midfield talents in his homeland, and will meet up with fellow Greece U-21 international Thanos Petsos at the Betzenberg.
Before his move, Fortounis featured regularly for Asteras. In 24 appearances in the Greek Super League, he scored one goal.
