Barcelona are set to swoop for Villarreal's in-form striker Giuseppe Rossi in the summer, as they prepare a €30m offer for the Italian.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 24-year-old, who is enjoying his best-ever scoring season as the Yellow Submarine look to secure Champions League qualification and attain Europa League success, is among the Catalan giants' main targets for next season.
Barca may also include a player from their 'B' team as part of the deal, and Rossi will be offered a five-year term worth around €3m per season.
The former Manchester United forward only recently penned a contract extension at El Madrigal, but the player has made no secret of his desire to play for a bigger club.
Yesterday, the player's agent confirmed that a switch to Serie A for the 2011-12 season remains a possibility, but interest from the current La Liga champions could potentially persuade Rossi to move to Camp Nou.
