Levante have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Villarreal over the loan transfer of winger Jefferson Montero until the end of the season.
The promoted side, who are currently in the bottom three in the Primera Division, have made a deadline-day swoop to land the Ecuadorian international as they look to retain their position in the Spanish top flight.
The 21-year-old was promoted to the Yellow Submarines’ first-team squad this season after some dazzling displays for the B team last year, and has been used as an impact substitute on occasions this campaign.
The Granotes have moved quickly to land Montero until the end of the season, and the intention is to gain valuable first-team experience before returning to El Madrigal next season.
The deal has been confirmed on both side's official websites, and the player is expected to join up with his new colleagues later this week.
