Inter are well placed to sign Giampaolo Pazzini from Sampdoria, who want cash and a player in return for the Italian striker.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims the champions are making steady progress, and there was a gathering in Milan between Marco Branca, Samp's sporting director Doriano Tosi and Pazzini's agent Tulio Tinti on Tuesday afternoon. That came just hours after president Massimo Moratti said: "Pazzini is always interesting because of his quality."
Sampdoria value Pazzini between €18-20 million, but Inter will offer €10m and the full rights to Jonathan Biabiany as they go for impact, hoping Doria grab the opportunity.
The Nerazzurri see Biabiany as a €9m filter who will allow them to distill the move with Samp, but the Genoese feel that valuation is lofty even though they could drift into yielding.
New meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, when Inter will make an attempt at bouncing back to push the move through.
