Udinese have confirmed Antonio Floro Flores has joined Genoa on loan for the rest of the season.

The 27-year-old striker was widely expected to join Juventus, but a late push from Genoa overnight has seen the transfer tables turned.

Floro Flores will arrive on loan, but Genoa have been given the option to buy him permanently from Udinese at the end of their agreement.

A statement on Udinese.it confirms Floro Flores is on his way to Marassi.

"Udinese Calcio communicates to have loaned Antonio Floro Flores to Genoa Cricket and Football Club until June 2011 with the option to make the move permanent.

"The club would like to thank the player for his work over the last few years and we wish him all the best for his future."

Figures have not been disclosed officially, but reports claim the loan will cost Genoa €1.5million. Floro Flores will cost €8.5m if Genoa want to sign him permanently.
