Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be leading the race between six clubs that are interested in acquiring the services of Manchester United defender Wes Brown.
The 31-year-old is thought to have fallen into manager Sir Alex Ferguson's bad books after having a row with the boss during the club's pre-season tour of America, and his two Premier League starts are believed to be a reflection of his prior transgression.
Now The Mirror claims that the defender is going to be placed on the transfer list, with Spurs interested in taking the experienced player to north London.
Earlier reports pointed towards Tottenham being interested in Everton's Phil Neville. But the focus is now thought to have been shifted towards Brown after boss David Moyes maintained that there is no chance that the Toffees will sell their skipper.
