FC Koeln have completed the signing of Lech Poznan midfielder Slawomir Peszko on a six month contract with an option to extend it, the club confirmed on their official website.
Private sponsors paid the €500,000 release clause last Wednesday to end Peszko's contract with the Polish champions.
"Slawomir Peszko is a valuable reinforcement. He will bring a lot of quality, has good vision and can help the team to achieve the target for this season," FC Koeln's chairman Wolfgang Overath stated.
"Thanks to Slawomir Peszko we have gained quality and variability in the midfield area. The transfer time is also an opportunity for us to integrate him with the rest of the team during the training camp," added coach Frank Schaefer.
The Poland international was one of the best players of Europa League hopefuls Lech Poznan this season and leaves this team after two-and-a-half years with them.
