Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with fellow German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim over the transfer of versatile Brazilian player Luiz Gustavo.
The German champions announced on their official website on Saturday that they have agreed with Hoffenheim over the imminent recruitment of Gustavo and that the player will be handed a four-and-a-half year contract.
The 23-year-old, who can play as a defender as well as a defensive midfielder, will "undergo the obligatory pre-transfer medical on New Year’s Day and Sunday" and will then sign the papers.
It's also been stated that if everything goes well, then on Tuesday Gustavo will join his Bayern team-mates at their training camp in Doha, Qatar.
Bayern have not disclosed the transfer fee they would have to pay to Hoffenheim, but it's been reported in the German media that the two clubs have agreed on a €15 million settlement.
