Inter president Massimo Moratti believes former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic left the club a year too early.
The 29-year-old left the Beneamata in the summer of 2009, and after his departure Inter went on to win a historic treble last season while 'Ibra' had to be satisfied with just the Spanish league title with Barcelona.
"I think he left to win the Champions League but he got the wrong year and the great satisfaction of his former team-mates is to have won it in that way," said Moratti, according to Sky Sports.
"I find Ibrahimovic a nice guy - I'm not going to criticise him."
Ibrahimovic joined Milan in the summer and scored the winner in the Rossoneri's 1-0 victory over Inter on November 14.
