Luis Fabiano's Agent Denies Contact With Inter Regarding Transfer From Sevilla

No contact between Sevilla and Inter regarding Luis Fabiano, says player's agent.
Luis Fabiano’s agent has cooled suggestions that the Brazilian is set for a January transfer window move from Sevilla to Italian champions Inter.

The 30-year-old striker is apparently unsettled once again, just weeks after signing a new contract tying him to the Andalucian club until 2013.

Inter have allegedly been long-time admirers of Fabiano’s abilities, and were expected to launch a bid for the forward.

However, agent Jose Fuentes stated that his client did want to leave during the summer, but a suitable offer was not forthcoming, telling calciomercato.it: “At the moment I have not heard anything from Inter, nor from other clubs in respect to January.

“There’s no doubt that the player is down in the dumps. He wanted to leave during the summer, and there were formal offers from Tottenham Hotspur, Marseille, Schalke and Fenerbahce, but they didn’t interest us.

“We have renewed his contract until 2013, but now he doesn’t play. I don’t know the reason – let’s see what happens with new coach Greorio Manzano.”

Fabiano started Sevilla’s 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League in midweek, and is expected to do the same in this afternoon’s encounter with Atletico Madrid at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
