Inter Plan January Raid For Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano - Report

Sampdoria ace Antonio Cassano has been linked with an Inter move.

Inter are set to govern a move for Antonio Cassano in January, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Despite the Sampdoria and Italy international claiming his career was hardwired in Genoa, the Nerazzurri, who have always shown admiration, are devising a €20million plan to sign him.

Cassano has proved his previous ways have been transposed after a three-season revival with the Blucerchiati.

And Inter chief Massimo Moratti has given his transfer men the green light to delve deeply and uncover ways of bringing him to San Siro.

A push will begin during the next transfer session when the player would be eligible to play again in the Champions League, despite having already done so this season with Samp.

'Doria had received plenty of interest from clubs for their star men including Cassano during the last window, but met them all with resistance.

President Riccardo Garrone is unlikely to unclench his fists in the new year though. He has always said Cassano was at the club for life.
