OFFICIAL: Rubin Kazan Sign Salvatore Bocchetti From Genoa

Salvatore Bocchetti will turn his hand at Russian football after leaving Genoa for Rubin Kazan.
Rubin Kazan have signed Salvatore Bocchetti from Genoa on a three-and-a-half-year contract, the Russian outfit said in a statement.

The note, published on Rubin's official website reads:

"Italy defender Salvatore Bocchetti has officially become a player in our club. The former Genoa player has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal."

Neither club disclosed the fee, but reports suggest Kazan paid Genoa around €15 million for the transfer.

Rubin kick off their Champions League campaign against Copenhagen on September 14 and Bocchetti's arrival is a boost for the Russians who also captured Carlos Eduardo, Giedrius Arlauskis, Aleksei Medvedev and Obafemi Martins during a fairly busy summer spending spree.
