Napoli have signed Jose Sosa from Bayern Munich in a €2 million deal, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Italian sports director Riccardo Bigon met with Bayern chiefs in Milan on Tuesday to bring negotiations to a close, though all initially seemed lost after the Germans seemed reluctant to lower their €3.5m demands.
However, a deal was reached with Napoli paying €2m for the player, who himself will earn around €1m per annum in wages.
The Italian club have deferred the announcement though, fearing it could get in the way of their Europa League clash against Elfsborg tomorrow night.
"Stop with these announcements and presentations. We have an important game coming up and we cannot allow ourselves to get distracted," said coach Walter Mazzarri when asked whether the club had landed Sosa.
