Thiago Silva's agent Paulo Tonietto has opened the gateway to trade with Real Madrid, just 24 hours after the Milan defender affirmed he would not be leaving the Italian club.
"The excellent relationship that exists between Real Madrid and Milan would mean any move would be cured with attention to detail," the agent told AS.
"It would have to be the clubs to find an agreement first and then we could talk. Real Madrid? We don't know, but he is a big club player."
Tonietto's words come after Thiago Silva moved twice within 48 hours to deny he is leaving Milan.
On Tuesday and then again on Wednesday he said he "will not be leaving," is "a Milan player", and "I have a contract there until 2014".
His statements appeared on the club's official website, and then his side allowed him to speak with the press 24 hours ago at Malpensa - a further sign of the club's message that they want to keep him.
