The transfer of Maicon to Real Madrid is continuing to infuriate all those concerned with the Brazilian player. The player's agent, Antonio Caliendo, met with Real Madrid yesterday to try to strike a deal concerning personal terms with the player, but as yet no fee has been agreed, according to AS.
Caliendo has said that Maicon would be happy to stay with Inter as the process of the switch becomes more tedious, despite AS reporting that the only place the full-back wants to play next season is in Madrid. Inter are seemingly now willing to lower their €28 million price tag to push the transfer along but Maicon is not dropping his wage demands to Marid's offer of a €5.5m annual salary.
“His stay at Inter is a very concrete hypothesis, seeing that he is very happy in Milan.
"Anyway I am very angry with Real Madrid's behaviour towards us," Caliendo said.
The agent had previously stated that if Real really want Maicon they will be doing all they can to insist that his player signs, but thus far that hasn't happened.
"If you want to make a certain investment in a player, you also need to make sacrifices as far as the contract is concerned."
Another stumbling block is the huge commission that Caliendo is demanding, a whopping €3.5 million.
"In any case there will be a devlopment this week," the agent told Eurosport.
