Lazio Chief Claudio Lotito Hopes Milan Target Cristian Ledesma Signs New Deal

Lotito excludes Ledesma exit...
Lazio president Claudio Lotito is hopeful Cristian Ledesma will sign a two-year extension in the capital - just months after he was on the verge of walking out on the club.

Ledesma had turned his back on Lazio in November 2009 after being frozen out of the squad following a disagreement with Lotito over contract talks.

He was on the verge of rescinding his contract there before a twist in proceedings.

Since then relationship has been reconciled and it has been smiles all round.

And, despite Ledesma being linked with Milan, Lotito hopes he can shake hands with his man over a 2013 extension. His current deal expires in 2011.

"We have not put Ledesma on the market," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"If he wants to take a different position then the club will provide, but at the moment Ledesma is not on the market.

"We hope he signs a contract like [Stefano] Mauri did until 2013."
