Besiktas are having trouble trying to loosen the bolts keeping Guti pinned down at Real Madrid, according to a club spokesman.
Marca and Sportmediaset.it claim Guti is close to completing his switch to Turkey and reuniting with former Real coach Bernd Schuster. On Friday Guti said the ball was in Real's court.
"I continue to be a player of Real Madrid. It is true that I have received an interesting offer from Besiktas in Turkey and the truth is that it is a place where I want to go, especially because of [Bernd] Schuster, who is their coach," he told Marca.
But, a spokesman for Besiktas has said they are still trying to untangle the player from Madrid.
"For the moment there is no agreement, but the talks continue," the spokesman is quoted as saying on Sportmediaset.it.
Reports suggest 33-year-old Guti has been offered a two year deal worth close to €3million per annum.
