Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger has been linked with Inter and Juventus, according to the Italian Press.
Tuttomercato has stated that Juventus may switch their attention from Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko because the proposed player plus cash deal involving Brazilian Diego is proving too expensive and want to offer a similar deal instead to the Bundesliga champions for Schweinsteiger.
However, the Bavarians are intent on keeping one of their star men and the player has said he would continue to respect his contract, which runs out in 2012.
Fiorentinanews has reported that Bayern are also in pursuit of 25-year-old Riccardo Montolivo, suggesting that FC Hollywood may be nonetheless sounding out potential replacements.
Inter President Massimo Morratti has declared his admiration for 'Schweini' and Inter are believed to be ready to offer €25 million. The source of this money could come from the sale of striker Mario Balotelli, if reports are to be believed.
The offers would test the resolve of both the German club and player, but if Schweinsteiger is a man of his word the Italians will have a hard time convincing both to agree terms until 2012.
