Milan Ponder Move For Sporting CP Midfielder Miguel Veloso - Report

Portuguese on Milan's agenda yet again...
Milan are weighing up the merits of a move for Sporting CP midfielder Miguel Veloso, sports daily Corriere dello Sport claims.

The Portugal international has been linked with the exit door at Sporting for over a year now, with Milan always one of the sides suggested to be keen on his services.

Fresh speculation in Italy claims that Milan have sent scouts to South Africa to check Veloso in action for his country at the World Cup.

However, they will most likely return home empty-handed as Veloso falls behind Pedro Mendes in the Seleccao's pecking order and his chances are unlikely to improve as Pepe moves closer to a return to full training.

Reports in Portugal have suggested Veloso is highly expected to leave Sporting this summer as the Lions look to bolster their transfer coffers.

Veloso, who is a product of Sporting's youth ranks, has made no secret of his desire for a bigger challenge in his career, which has earned him criticism from fans and former coach Paulo Bento.
