Benfica are close to signing Olimpija Ljubljana goalkeeper Jan Oblak, both clubs have announced on their respective websites.
The two clubs have confirmed that talks are at an advanced stage, with Benfica stating that a compromise will "soon be reached".
At the age of 17, Oblak, who is part of Slovenia's Under-21 squad, is regarded as a hot prospect for the future.
He had also been on the radars of Liverpool and Fiorentina, with only a minor injury preventing him from having a trial with the Reds in December.
Benfica have been interested in signing a new custodian as both Quim and Jose Moreira are expected to leave the club in the summer.
It is believed that Benfica will still move for Atletico Madrid custodian Roberto Jimenez, as they regard Oblak as back-up to the Spaniard given his lack of experience at the highest level.
