Arsenal defender William Gallas is involved in discussions with Juventus, according to Tuttomercato.
The 32-year-old defender, currently with France's national squad, will become a free agent at the end of this month after failing to agree a contract extension with the Gunners.
Gallas had been keen on staying at the North London club, where he has been since 2006, but Arsenal are unwilling to meet his "quite extravagant" wage demands, according to chairman Peter Hill-Wood.
Roma have been suggested as a likely destination for Gallas, but the former Chelsea defender is believed to also have an offer from Juventus to study.
Tuttomercato reports that Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta, currently in Russia looking to thrash out a deal for CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic, instructed his staff to open negotiations with Gallas.
Gallas, who has 81 France caps to his name, has been in the Premier League since 2001, when he joined Chelsea for Marseille.
