Benfica Sound Out Roma Over Goalkeeper Alexander Doni - Report

Benfica have contacted Roma to enquire about the availability of goalkeeper Alexander Doni, according to Corriere della Sera.

The Eagles are understood to be in the market for a first choice custodian, with the futures of Quim and Jose Moreira still in the balance.

Doni, who has been at the
Stadio Olimpico since joining from Juventude in 2005, is one of the three goalkeepers called up by Brazil boss Dunga for the World Cup.

Reports in Italy indicate that Benfica are not alone in the race to sign Doni, as Arsenal and Galatasaray are both reported to be tracking the 30-year-old shot-stopper.

Other keepers linked with a move to the Portuguese champions are Gremio's Victor, and
Marco Amelia and Sergio Romero of Genoa and AZ Alkmaar, respectively.
