Chelsea Weigh Up Move For Newcastle United Target Pablo Hernandez - Report

Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez, according to the News of the World.
The Spaniard has been impressive this season in the Primera Division, and looks set to launch a late bid to be included in the Spanish national squad heading to South Africa this summer.

Hernandez reportedly has a £45 million minimum-fee release clause in his contract, but with Valencia’s financial woes set to continue, they may face having to sell star players in order to balance the books.

Chelsea have reportedly made their interest in the fleet-footed wideman known to his representative Mario Parri.

"Pablo [Hernandez] has had such a sensational year. There is talking to be done at the end of the season and while there has been interest from many clubs, Valencia have received no formal offers yet," Parri said.

Hernandez has represented his country twice at senior level and travelled to the Confederations Cup last year.

Newcastle United were said to be interested in signing the youngster, but failed in their attempt due to financial restrictions in January.
