Eyal Golasa has gone back to Maccabi Haifa by pulling the plug on his Lazio move.
Maccabi were left stunned by the youngster when he agreed to join Lazio on a four and a half year deal on transfer deadline day. The move caused a furore in Israel as he joined Lazio without Maccabi knowing.
But, after a meeting with the club, he successfully rejoined them.
A statement on Maccabi's official website reads:
"Eyal Golasa returned to Israel this morning. We had a meeting and Eyal apologised. His apology was accepted.
"There was never any doubt that the agreement we had with the player was valid.
"We have no doubt that he is a talented player and we hope he can develop and go far with Maccabi Haifa."
