Manchester City Looking To Beat Inter To McDonald Mariga's Signature

Could the Kenyan be en route?
Manchester City have rushed through a work permit application in order to beat Inter boss Jose Mourinho to the signature of £7 million-rated Parma star McDonald Mariga, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Citizens have agreed terms and are apparently optimistic that they can snap up the player before Monday's 17:00 GMT transfer deadline.

City striker Valeri Bojinov, already on loan at Parma, will move to the club permanently as part of the deal to bring the 22-year-old Kenyan international to Eastlands.

Kenyan Mariga helped Parma win promotion from Serie B last season and is considered to be one of African football's hottest prospects.
