Palermo midfielder Fabio Simplicio's future has been resolved and he will join Roma at the end of the season, say the Sicilians.
Weeks of negotiations have been concluded, and Rosanero sporting director Walter Sabatini has confirmed the Brazilian's next move. Palermo had tried to offer their man a contract renewal, but he was unwilling to accept the terms. He will now remain in Sicily until June, when his four-year deal expires.
"Simplicio has an agreement with Roma. Once his contract here ends, he will play in the capital," Sabatini told Radio Kiss Kiss.
It seems Edinson Cavani will stay on for the immediate future after he became the subject of front-page exit talk around Sicily.
"Cavani will stay on until June at least. But we know that keeping him will be difficult as there are important clubs interested in him and they are offering certain figures," he added.
"Edinson has great qualities and he is under the eye of many."
